CBS Doctors Boston Fireworks Photos

Eagle-eyed viewers in Boston noticed something strange when CBS released images of the Fourth of July fireworks exploding behind the city’s iconic buildings: they were physically impossible. The Boston Globe says the fireworks were launched from a barge in the Charles River, which is in the opposite direction of the star-spangled photos of the State House, Quincy Market, and home plate at Fenway Park. As the online rumblings increased, the man in charge of the fireworks how acknowledged that the photos had been doctored, saying the decision was above board because the show “was entertainment and not news”; CBS has yet to comment.
